How would that little child know?

The trigger was pressed; the bullet shot out of the barrel. A man looking through his window collapsed on the spot. The trigger was pressed a second time. Another shot fired.
The water carrier's water-bag burst. He too collapsed. His blood, mixed with water, started flowing on the road.
The third shot. This time it was off target. The bullet simply went through a damp wall.
The fourth bullet hit the back of an elderly woman. She died instantly--without a scream.
Nobody was killed. Nobody was injured. That was the fifth and sixth bullet.
The man was enraged. Suddenly he spotted a child sprinting across the road. He turned his pistol in his direction.
'What are you doing?' his companion said.
'You have no rounds to fire.'
'You keep quiet! How would that little child know?'

'Ram vs Raavan' aur 'Raavan vs Raavan'

As always, I am in dilemma again, the new movie 'RAAVAN' rejuvenate lots of questions which I had since last 4 5 years.
What is RAMA and what is RAAVAN?
I don't know how to start and don’t know how to proceed but one thing I know that since my or I should say since our childhood raavan means something bad; that is why we never named anyone Raavan in our community and clan.
Going back to the days of RAMAYANA , we always seen Raavan as an ‘Rakshash’ who is mainly depicted negatively, infamously for kidnapping Rama's wife Sita, to claim vengeance on Rama and his brother ‘Lakshmana’ for having cut off the nose of his sister ‘Surpanakha’. He was a demon who ruled lanka, the city established by his step brother ‘Kuber’.
But in addition to all this Ravana is described as a devout follower of Shiva, a great scholar, a capable ruler and a maestro of the Veena. He has 10 heads which describes he has thorough knowledge over the 4 Vedas and 6 Upanishads which is far more then Rama the lord.
The story of his birth is also famous, it is believed he was born to ‘rishi Vishrava’ how was a brahmin and grandson of Brahma and Ravana's mother was Kaikesi, The daughter of Sumali. Ravana was thus partly Brahmin and partly Daitya.
That means Raavan was a scholar who never did anything wrong except the act of kidnapping sita, which was an act of vengeance.
It is also believed that Raavan always knew that he'll be killed by Rama but he still did it to set an example.
Some believe Raavan was against ‘yags’ and ‘hawans’, because according to him, it is polluting environment and killing trees , that is why he always destroyed the places of ‘hawans’ and ‘yags’.
It is also believed that rakshash term was a originally 'rakshak, the savior of enviroment but arayans modified it to rakshsh and portrayed it as a bad character.
They believe that this India actually belongs do the dravids who were dark and short and true followers of Hinduism, at that time called as sanatan dharma, they used to follow the Vedas. But intervention of Aryans from outside made their life terrible, Aryans were tall, fair and they have their own beliefs, Aryans wrote their own granth RAMAYAN and portrayed dravids as a BADASS. War between Raavan and Rama is nothing but war between dravids and Aryans or you can say the war between follower of Shiva and followers of Vishnu.
Another belief is that valmiki never wrote RAMAYAN with Rama as a hero and Raavan as a villain, it was just a description of incidents but goswami tulsi daas the great devotee of Rama re wrote RAMACHARIMANS with RAMA as hero and Raavan as a villain.
followers of valmiki samaj has started following Raavan again and they are naming their kids as Raavan, asura, kekais etc. there are lots of mandirs of Raavan in Rajasthan, alwar, noida, and other regions of UP.
Jains belief that Raavan prayed to paasharvnaath and in alwar there is Raavan pashrvnath mandir.
They also believe that Raavan would be one of their 24 tirthankars.
There is also a place called Raavan dehra near alwar.
South Indians always believed that Raavan was not at all bad but was portrayed as a villain. P. S. karunanidhi always supported raavana.
In north India Raavan is built and burnt every dusshera but we always take him as a great personality and few old ladies always say that we should go and touch the feet of Raavan's statue before it is burnt.
Raavan come back every year, I don’t whether to find his status back or to show us that even a single bad deed can destroy an emperor and scholar like Raavan.
Rama always seen ravan as a Brahmin and Rama had to do Ashwamedha yagna as penance for killing a Brahmin.
Now day’s people started following Raavan again, is it a right thing or may be we are blinded by the kalyuga who want us to be an asura and want ‘rakshash raj’ on earth. We started using solutions written in LAAL kitab(Raavan sahinta) written by Raavan.
Are we going in a direction that is decided by god and which will destroy the world?
I don’t know :-|
I personally believe that these changes are periodic, we always want something new. A big religion like Hinduism always had these changes.
All gods have their time and fashions.
Like now a days Shani bhagwan and shiridi sai baba are very famous and every devotee is looking at them as a real god.
Few years back Mataa jhande wali was in more fashion and prior to that as well we humans have a tendency to shift our focus to different gods.
We followed the religion that Muhammad told us about and we became Muslims, we see Christ as a god and we became Christians, those who see Christ as a prophet only are Jews and blah blah blah...
Moreover if at a given time we did not find any god, we worshipped our gurus, like Sikhs, bahais, radha sawamis, nirankari, dera sacha sauda. The list is countless.
Some of them are more famous then others and some are not and all are flowing like a river. But when these rivers of religions see and meet each other, either they rebel each other or they form a new belief.
Raavan is just a phase. We are done with gods and gurus, so some of us want to give a try to villains in the past.
even I never knew that what is right and what is wrong but I always had hanuman as god, although I knew he followed Rama, and he was shivas avtar but still I praise him more then any god, may be because of the way he portrayed to me.
I also believe that god is one, so whatever the way is you gonna make it to the real one.
I am following hanuman but indeed I’ll get onkar
You say Rama Rama, you'll get onkar
You say ‘om namah shivay’ , you’ll be directed to onkar
You say waheguru; guru will take us to onkar
You look at him as Allah, which is synonym for onkar for me.
This Raavan and Rama are within, if we follow one of them seriously we gonna get our lord.
It doesn’t matter you are following Rama or Ravana, just follow the good deeds done by them.
If you are following guru just follow the ‘naam’ given by him and don’t spoil the harmony between humans.
Every one has a right to chose his guru and these gurus may have different believes but alternatively a good guru will take you to the god with his own way.
I chose god as my guru because I find it hard to trust humans now a days, may be you'll get your guru soon.
That is it.
Jai Shri Rama!
aur Raavan ki bhi jai ho.

A Story from Mahabharatha

When all Kauravas died and Pandavas won the battle, Gandhari; decided to see the body of her sons by unfolding her eyes. She went to the battle place and when see unfolded her eyes, she saw 100 bodies of her sons lying on the ground one after another. She was in pain as she was practically blind after her marriage to Dhritrashtra and now when she unfolded her eyes she was in front of dead bodies of all her sons. She was crying in deep pain, when she saw a tree of 'Berry' with juicy berries on it. She forgot all her pain and was deeply involved in berries, she decided to go and taste a few of them, but she soon realized that height of tree was much more than what she thought. She; crazy about berry, without realizing what she is doing, dragged body of her youngest son and stood on his chest but was not able to reach the berry. She repeated with another son's body, made a bunch of 100 bodies with duryodhan on top, and stood on his chest.
When she was about to get a berry, she saw Shri Krishna Standing in a corner and smiling at her. She sooner realized what she was doing and was in deep pain and cried a lot.
Then she asked the Govinda, "According to you, what we get in this life is a result of what we did in this life in earlier or what we did in our earlier lives. I can see my last hundred births and I know I did not do anything wrong, then why did you give me so much of pain that I saw death of my 100 sons and now I am feeling the guilty of standing on chest of my son.?"
Shri Krishna Smiled and answered, "you can see only last 100 births, But 'I' can see beyond that, I can see when there was nothing, I can see when there'll be nothing. 101 births ago, you were suffering from severe headache and you tried all kind of medicines but nothing helped, finally you approached a TAANTRIK, who asked you to kill a hundred earth worms and make a paste of them and apply it to your forehead. You did as instructed. HEY, MOTHER OF HUNDRED SONS, these 100 kaurvas were actually those earthworms who gave you everlasting pain in your heart.

You thoughts guys?

God Almighty

I see you everywhere, in everything, in every form. I can get you by doing good things, praising you, singing for you, dancing in your love. I don’t need any religon to get you. I can get you as Ram or Krishna or Allah, or Om or ikonkaar.
Everybody believes you are unique and unmatched. In your real picture you are undefined, you are not he neither she, you are my lord and I believe in you.
I will go to mandir, praise you as shiv, go to gurudwara, and praise you like gurubaani... I can go to mosque and praise you in form of Allah.
Nobody has seen you yet everybody have his own imagination how you look.
Hindus believe you are Krishna, and before that, you were Ram and you came in 10 different avatars, you are almighty Vishnu who lives in bekunth. However, others ask what was before that? There was shiv who is the supreme god but why he is praying and in dhyan of something? what about Brahma isn't he the one who created us. Whatever this trinity did, become the fate of humans, animals and earth. But why are they praising each other. Why can't they decide who is supreme?
What was there when there was no shiv, no Vishnu, no Brahma?
What about the Shafto? Was she before them or they created her? They say shiv is shav without Shakti. It means Shakti was there when shiv came. What is that shakti and why all gods bow after her but still she sits near legs of Vishnu?
If Ram and Krishna was same god, why they behaved in such a different manner? Are they trying to teach us something or they are trying to confuse us?
Moreover, gods get power if we pray for them what if we will not. Will they become humans or they will be vanished?
There are 33 crores Devi and Devtas all doing there job and getting their part.
What is OM? Why we have om in every mantras? is it supreme? Is it formless? it must be the god as it do not have any shape. It is just the NAAM.
When I pray RAM RAM... Eventually I am praying OM... I am not saying this. OSHO said it.
So when I pray to any god... Eventually I am praying to one who controls all gods.
They all are just functions to unique god. Programming skills are applied everywhere :)
Shakti is nothing but supreme power who took shape when all gods requested her to help them. That is why we have so much believe in her.
There all 100s of religions all believe in their own god.
Aryasmaji Hindus does not believe in idol god but believe in scriptures- they are directly praying to supreme one but they need guru for that
Same is with Sikhs, Guru Nanak found god by singing his name and when he was in river for three days, he was meeting the supreme god. He did not meet him like two humans meet, that meeting cannot be described. but when guru nanak cam back on fourth day he gave us japji sahib, japji sahib is my favorite, it says Ik onkaar... this onkar is formless god, to which I and lots of others referred as om... om is not Hindu .. And onkaar is not Sikh... how can god have a specific religion? Is he sharing his lordness with other gods of other religion?
He must be one, but why we all are different then?
Nannak told us that god is one and then he described how Hindus and Muslims are trying to get god and what is the right way for that?
God is everywhere, so no mandir or masjid needed to get him. kabir said: "pathar poojat rab mile toh main pooju pahar". He is in us. Not in any murti or photo.
Guru Nanak told us that but why we have gurudwaras thn?
Are gurudwaras not following what guru ji said? Every guru said he is not god, he is just his follower, guru gobind said one who'll consider me god will be punished by god.
Gurudwaras and Sikhs are just following there gurus, but are they following them in a right way?
Guru told them to create another religion and forbid inter caste or inter religion marriage? But I guess guru ji was against any caste or religion barriers?

To be cont...
